Join the movement and make a difference! 🌟 Your involvement is crucial in empowering Black and Brown communities across Florida. Volunteering with Florida Student Power means being part of a youth-led initiative focused on education, climate, and migrant justice. We believe in political knowledge, action, strategy, and mobilization. Florida Student Power is dedicated to winning for Black and Brown communities with young people leading the movement and decision-making process. Over the past few years, we have built power during legislative sessions by directly pressuring legislators, trained youth to lead their communities through Power University, and fostered community through our social events. Our organizational membership spans various programs, including campaign committees, civic engagement volunteer programs, power pods, and Power University.

Ways to Volunteer:

• Campaign Committees: Participate in strategic planning and execution of advocacy campaigns.
• Civic Engagement: Volunteer in programs that promote civic participation and voter education.
• Power Pods: Join small groups focused on specific issues and community organizing.
• Power University: Help train and educate youth leaders.
• Community Events: Assist in organizing and running social and educational events.
• Administrative Support: Help with office tasks and coordination of volunteer activities.

Requirements for Volunteering:

• Must be aged 15-25 years and residing in the State of Florida.
• Have an introductory one-on-one conversation with a Florida Student Power organizer.
• Fill out the membership interest form.
• Attend and commit to all Membership Meetings during the intake process.
• Participate in a series of 4 events/actions during a given quarter in our organizing and civic engagement programs.
